Christie Nicole Bridal designs one-of-a-kind pieces for brides who delight in the delicacy and intricacy of couture fashion. She incorporates high quality fabrics and true craftsmanship to create our wedding gowns, veils, reception dresses and more.
Designer, Christie developed a passionate rapport with fashion through her young years living as a thirsty creative under her Grandmother’s wing. Christie’s grandmother—a talented seamstress acknowledged that her granddaughter had an interest she could feed. Throughout her young years Christie garnered many skills and devices that her grandmother instilled. Not until her schooling came to an end did they both know this had birthed in so a gift, a talent and calling that needed to be heard.
Christie enrolled in a Bachelor of Design to hone her craft and welcome a more earnest representation of herself. After three years at design school Christie graduated with a collection that encompassed the exact direction she finds herself now—modern and innovative.
Christie continues to create delicate and personal pieces that open up a world of luxury and quiet confidence. She will mirror the individuals she works with and draw her inspiration from where she is happily entangled. Every experience is new and any bride-to-be is invited to join in an intimate journey so rare nowadays.
We chatted to Christie about what inspires her and what she sees as the next big bridal trends....
How did you get into bridal design?
It was in the year of 2016 that a friend enquired if I would be interested in designing a wedding and reception dress for her special day, and it was then that I started my Bridal journey. Once I shared what I created I received an influx of many emails. I didn’t realise my designs would be so loved by so many brides-to-be, and now here I am.
How long have you been designing bridal?
Just over 2 years ago I started Christie Nicole Bridal.
What’s your favourite bridal look?
I don’t have a favourite, because I’m doing custom made bridal it's so hard to choose what my favourite look is, even when it comes to ready-to-wear. Each bride has such a different style that suits them.
Where do you find your inspiration?
Everywhere, such a tricky question.
Who is your favourite bridal designer?
I don’t have one but I will always be obsessed with Givenchy - they're couture collections.
What do you plan on wearing?
If I was to ever get married (everyone asks me this question) I think I would have something very simple and elegant but I’m really not sure, you will have to see when the time comes!
What do you think the next bridal trend will be?
Detailed sleeves and pleated tulle (hint - my first collection).
What are your top three choosing dress top tips?
1. Stick to what style suits you best, don’t listen to anybody else, you know your body and what you love.
2. You don’t have to follow trends.
3. Be unique and yourself.
